TRIUMPHANT QUARTET

Image
The one consistent thing about life is change. Things around us are constantly changing. So when a group like Triumphant Quartet maintains consistency, it speaks volumes about whom they are and what all they have accomplished. Triumphant is the face of quality Gospel Music, Christian integrity, family values, friendship and dedication. The group has been that way since their beginnings in 2003, when the four friends first walked out on to the stage of the Louise Mandrell Theater, in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee as a headlining talent. Each current Triumphant group member was there in that defining moment, and has continued together ever since. Their smooth harmonies, and rich quartet sound quickly gained them national attention, recognition and concert demand. That popularity promoted the group in 2008, from singing daily at the theater, to touring nationally and performing in major concert venues, auditoriums and churches. It has also voted them the Fan Favorite Quartet in the Gospel Music field for the last several years, and each group member also being nominated for and receiving various awards.

Triumphant Quartet has had multiple #1 songs and several others have climbed the Top 40 music charts. They have multiple songs and albums of the year as well, which contributed to their popularity. They feel very blessed. Gospel music fans agree that the triumphant sound is distinctive, solid quartet singing, voting them fan favorite artist of the year for 2018. Triumphant excels in diversity, and also expands their musical borders to a wide variety of styles, that is enjoyed by church audiences and music lovers. When Triumphant takes the stage, the audience is entertained by the musical variety, the engaging personalities and a bond that is brought together by years of friendship. Audiences will find themselves smiling, laughing, crying, encouraged and uplifted. And most of all, they will walk away having had the Gospel Message presented to them in a powerful way, with a hope that many will receive Christ as their Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ is the focus of Triumphant. He is the reason they sing. These four gentlemen are faithful as always and steadfast and true in their goal of giving their very best in all they do.

Mark Trammell QUARTET

Image

For over forty years Mark Trammell has been blessed to sing Gospel Music. Something he says, “evolved from a dream to a life’s call; from just singing to ministry.” Many long time observers and followers of Gospel Music consider him to be one the greatest baritone singers of all time. He has won multiple awards as a singer and producer, and has been a member of four of Gospel Music’s most acclaimed groups – The Kingsmen, The Cathedrals, Greater Vision and Gold City. For most people, just being with one of these legendary groups would be the pinnacle of a career and justification for resting on your laurels. But for Mark now is not the time to kick back and relax. Instead, it is time to step into a fresh mission that focuses on evangelism through the seamless integration of Gospel Music and preaching – The Mark Trammell Quartet.

If surrounding yourself with the right people is one of the keys of success, then Mark Trammell might be considered a ‘master locksmith’. Since he was 15 years old, Mark has literally been surrounded by and sung with some of the most respected men in Southern Gospel Music including Ray Shelton, Eldridge Fox, Jim Hamill, Squire Parsons, Ray Reece, Tim Riley, Glen Payne, and George Younce.

Mark states that the major reason for turning this trio into a quartet is the fact that he desires to help perpetuate the craft that he has given his life to, and to present every aspect of pure gospel quartet music to the best of their ability. In April 2012 MTQ celebrated 10 years of watching God take the unlikely and do the abnormal with only two ingredients involved in its success. Man’s obedience to the call of God, and God’s supernatural power to do the impossible thru those who are stubborn enough to simply believe He can.

Lillie knAUls

Image

"Lillie who?" That's what folks were saying in 1975 when the first gospel recording of Lillie Knauls was released. Since 1975, she has recorded a number of albums of gospel favorites, as well as her original songs.

To answer the question, "Lillie who?" Here's the answer about this incredibly moving musician. Ms. Knauls was born in Arkansas. Her parents had six girls and one boy. Church was the first place Lillie went in life. When the church doors opened, the Knauls family was there. Lillie can't ever remember not loving the Lord. She asked Him to come into her heart at a very young age.

At age 13 her father passed away and the family moved to Seattle, Washington, to live with her Mother's sister. Lillie attended Middle and High school, and began working at Pacific Telephone in 1956. She is looking forward to attending her next Garfield High School Class Reunion.

Did you know in 1963, in Seattle, Lillie was almost a married lady? Just months before her wedding to a handsome young man, Lillie called it off. She felt it was not God's will. She then moved to San Jose, California.

While working at the Telephone Company in San Jose, Lillie took a leave of absence to sing with the Edwin Hawkins Singers in 1970. This was when their song, "O, Happy Day" was Number One on the Gospel charts. It was the first Gospel Song to cross over to Secular Billboard Charts, and sold over a million copies. Ms. Lillie's version can be found on her "Lillie Knauls Past and Present" 2007 Dove Winning CD (check out the Music Page!). They sang all over the United States and Europe, in concert halls and on television shows.

Knowing that God called her to a full-time music ministry, she walked away from her job of 22 years at the telephone company. During her farewell luncheon, God gave her a scripture which is still one of her favorites, Matthew 6:26, "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store in barns, yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" God has proven Himself true to His Word! He is faithful and supplies ALL her needs with no regular paycheck.

Around the world several times, the "MUSICIANARY" goes wherever the doors are opened. Ms. Lillie ministers in large and small churches, Aglow Fellowships, rest homes, prisons, Christian Women's clubs and major Christian TV programs.

In addition, God gave Ms. Lillie the gift of being single. (1Corinthians 7:32) Lillie is a frequent speaker at Single's Rallies where she shares on the subject, "Single and Satisfied." She stresses the importance of singles being involved with families, especially ones with children.

Lillie has covered the globe ministering and singing about God's love in all nations, except those under Communist rule. Once in Rio de Janeiro, she sang to 200,000 people and 500,000 in Ghana! Though the times and places change, her musical message remains the same... strictly Christ-centered!

Her debut full length symphonic pops album “Broadway Stories”, conducted by Maestro Jack Everly, was released on October 18, 2011 to rave reviews.

Sandi was introduced to the world with her rendition of The Star Spangled Banner during the rededication of the Statue of Liberty in 1986. Her version of the national anthem has become synonymous with patriotic celebration, including performances at “A Capitol Fourth” with the National Symphony, the Indianapolis 500, the Dedication of Camp David Chapel, and ABC’s Fourth of July Special.

While her thirty-year career is heavily rooted in the gospel music industry, Sandi has had the opportunity in more recent years to extend her career outside the genre. Sandi has performed with symphonies across the country, including the New York Pops, Boston Pops, Cincinnati Pops, Dallas Symphony, Baltimore Symphony, Houston Symphony, and Oklahoma City Philharmonic. She also headlined the title role in sold out performances of the musical “Hello, Dolly!” with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, co-starring Tony Award winner Gary Beach in January 2012.

She’s an example to all of us of the freedom that comes from learning how to move on, learning from her mistakes and letting God use her in any circumstance.

“I am grateful for the many opportunities for God has given in my life and for how He has allowed me to spread my wings,” says Sandi. “Singing is my way to tell my story of hope, life, and love.”

Sandi and her husband, Don, have eight children. They currently reside in Oklahoma City, OK.
